Offering services online and in person to adults across the UK.
Services
Online
Coast's online counselling service offers flexible, confidential support from the comfort of your own space and in your own time. We are dedicated to making our services accessible and affordable to adults across the UK.
Men's Counselling
Here at Coast we work with anyone from the age of 18 but specialise in working with men. Men are often taught to handle life's challenges alone but unspoken stress and trauma can turn into anger, frustration, and relationship issues.
In Person
Coast provides a carefully designed space where you can talk openly and away from any distractions. There are several benefits of working in person for both the client ad therapist. Our space promotes all these benefits and more.
Common Presenting Issues I Work With
Self Esteem and Self Worth
Read More
Tired of feeling like you are not enough, people pleasing or struggling to get your needs met? I will work with you to explore the reasons behind the lack of belief, challenge the thoughts in keeping you stuck in this pattern and help you learn to accept yourself, set boundaries and start living on your own terms.
Depression
Read More
When you are stuck in the cycle of depression, change can feel impossible. I can help you break that cycle by helping you identify the negative thought patterns and behaviours that are keeping you stuck. I will help you focus on small, manageable shifts that can help restore your energy and improve your outlook.
Anxiety and Stress
Read More
Anxiety and stress can be a meaningful signal that something in your life or past is calling for attention, such as feeling overwhelmed or on high alert. We can explore how to manage the symptoms but more importantly I can help you explore the underlying pressures and fears driving them to help you take back control.
Relationship Conflict
Read More
Does your relationship have a regular pattern of conflict and you want help in understanding the dynamics of your relationship and the role you play within it? I work with individuals to help them understand their own role in the conflict, identify unhealthy patterns of behaviour, and how to set healthy boundaries, to shift this dynamic.
Neurodiversity Support
Read More
Whether you are pre or post diagnosis, I offer neuro-affirming counselling where you don't have to translate your thoughts into neurotypical. Together we can work together with your unique wiring, to develop strategies for burnout, boundaries and building a life that feels authentic to you.
Attachment
Read More
Attachment styles aren't a flaw, they are a subconscious pattern to help keep you safe. I can help you explore the origins of this behaviour and develop acceptance of who you are today. If this no longer serves you then we can work together to move away from the old patterns and build more secure relationships.
Fears
Read More
Fears are one of the biggest drivers of our behaviour, which can prevent us from living the life that we desire. I can help you identify the hidden fears, like rejection, shame or humiliation, that drive your reactions. Once we name the fear, it stops calling the shots and we can work on removing these barriers.
Anger and Frustration
Read More
Anger and frustration are often the tip of the iceberg, hiding deeper fears such as being unheard or unvalued. I help you look beneath the surface to explore and identify the primary emotions driving your reactions. Once you have identified the emotions you can then take control of the anger rather than letting it control you.
Grief and Loss
Read More
Everyone experiences grief in their own unique way and has been likened to a fingerprint. It can bring challenges like not wanting to burden people with your grief or having to remain being the 'strong one'. I provide a space where you can honour your loss, at your own pace and in your own way.
Trauma and PTSD
Read More
Trauma isn't defined by the event but by it's impact on you. Whether it was a single incident or years of Complex PTSD, it can leave your nervous system stuck in survival mode, even when the danger is passed. I can help you to process overwhelming memories at your own pace and reclaim a sense of safety.
Domestic Violence and Abuse
Read More
If you have experienced domestic violence or abuse, I can provide the space needed to help you process the long term impacts of this such as coercive control, physical or sexual abuse. We can work on reclaiming your identity, rebuilding your self worth and dismantle any internalised shame to help you move forward positively.
Narcissistic Abuse
Read More
This form of abuse can feel invisible due to the subtle manipulations that have happened, sometimes over a very long time. I can help survivors of this type of abuse reclaim their reality, understand the manipulations that they have been subject to, build self trust and set boundaries for future relationships.
